Church History
The Eudora Presbyterian Church is the oldest commercial building in southwest DeSoto County and a true place of worship. Members of the congregation enjoy a taste of the past as they worship every Sunday morning in a traditional manner.
Established in 1888, the present structure was built in 1929. The brick building is a true cottage style design with high ceilings and original yellow pine floors. Magnificent stained glass windows each donated in memory of someone very much a part of this little church are truly a treasure to behold. The church is naturally beautiful without added adornment with a single wood cross hanging above the pulpit.
The huge bell housed in the steeple was formerly located on the front lawn of the original 1888 church building. The bell continues to toll eleven times each Sunday morning at eleven o’clock.
Many successful and dedicated Christians are members of the church family at Eudora Presbyterian Church, and it continues to be a vital part of the community.
The Eudora Presbyterian Church is your spiritual answer to the hustle and bustle of the modern world. We invite you to worship with us, and experience the soothing effect of days gone by.
